Herd management and pursue is an important issue to ensure the sustainability of the business. When choosing herds to be used in organic egg production, there are some criterias that we pay attention to such as foot structure suitable for walking outside, live weight, physics and hair structure that will not be affected in variable weather conditions etc. After choosing the chicken species that meets the criteria, new-born chicks from the hatcheries are brought to our enterprise.
After the suitable heat and other conditions are provided in the specially prepared poultry houses for the chicks, they begin to be fed with the chick grower feed prepared with organic raw materials from the first day. All the vaccines that must be done on time according to their ages in the vaccination schedule prepared by the veterinarian. These vaccines are not application of antibiotics or hormones. It is a vaccine application to protect the chicks from external illnesses throughout their lives. The daily needs of the flock such as feed, water, ventilation are met carefully.
This adventure continues until the chick is 16 weeks old. After the 16th week, they are made ready for spawning by transferring them from the nurturing houses to a spawning house with suitable conditions (nesting box and tunnels). While Kor Yumurta creates its own herd inventory, if it is planned according to the requests of other organic egg producers, it sells certified organic pullet. Contact us for more details.
