Kor Yumurta, whose adventure started in 1982 when its founder İsmail Kor enrolled in the Ege University Faculty of Agriculture, department of Animal Nutrition, aims to produce eggs and chicken products at international standards with its 38 years of experience.
Our story, which has started in 1982 with our founder’s undergradute education continued with Master’s Degree in 1985 and Doctorate in 1990, while serving in the private sector. İsmail Kor, who worked as the Köy-Tur Regional Manager between 1993-1995, moved this adventure to a different dimension in 1996 in İzmir Karşıyaka under the name of Poultryman İsmail with a 24m2’s shop. İsmail Kor, who entered the chicken meat and egg sector by reflecting his knowledge and experince accumulated in his educational life to the commercial area, created a very serious customer portfolio in this process and also strengthened his industry success. Poultryman İsmail, after providing the chicken meat and egg sales for a long time, established a chicken farm in Armutlu/Kemalpaşa and has made more serious investments in the sector.
The establishment of this farm, which also provided a basis for the rise of the brand of Kor Egg, played an important role in meeting the organic chicken and organic egg needs in our country. Our brand while increasing its production capacity day to day without compromising its quality and standards, has managed to be the first choice of one of Turkey’s most important supermarket chains such as Kipa. Kor Yumurta has managed to move its national achievements to international level through taking an award by the Belgium based International Taste & Quality Institute and became the source of pride of Turkey in the field of organic eggs. Kor Yumurta, the first and only brand that succeded in receiving this award, continues its success with its products containing high nutritional value in its modern production facilitaties in Izmir.
